Frequently asked
The questions people actually ask before a countertop job.
These answers cover materials, measurement, fabrication and care in general terms. Anything specific to your kitchen or bath — pricing, lead time, feasibility — is confirmed once we have seen the space.

Frequently asked questions
Send us a request through the estimate form with the room, your material interest and any photos or measurements you already have, or call (813) 725-3550. We follow up to confirm the details we need before preparing an estimate.
Getting started
Rough dimensions or a sketch of the surfaces, the room, the material family you are considering, the sink and cooktop you plan to use, and photos of the current space. The more of that we have up front, the fewer assumptions the estimate contains.
Getting started
Yes. An on-site visit to measure the actual cabinetry, walls and openings happens before fabrication. Estimates prepared from photos or customer-supplied dimensions are provisional until that measurement is done.
Measurement
Granite, quartz, quartzite and marble. Granite, quartzite and marble are natural stones quarried in slabs; quartz is an engineered material made from crushed stone bound with resin. They behave differently in use, so we discuss the trade-offs for the specific material you are considering.
Materials
Not exactly. Natural stone varies from slab to slab in colour, veining and movement, and printed or on-screen images shift colour. Engineered quartz is more consistent but still varies between batches. Where possible, view the actual material before it is committed.
Materials
That depends on the scope. Removal and disposal of the existing surface is confirmed for your specific project in the estimate rather than assumed. Tell us up front if you want it included.
Scope
Anything involving plumbing or electrical disconnection and reconnection is confirmed for your specific scope before installation is scheduled. Do not assume it is included; ask and we will put the answer in writing.
Scope
Cutouts are made to the actual sink and cooktop being installed, so we need the model or the physical fixture before fabrication. Changing the fixture after templating usually means re-measuring, and in some cases re-fabricating.
Fabrication
Clear the countertops and the cabinets beneath them, keep a clear path from the entry to the room, have any customer-supplied sink, faucet or cooktop on site, and plan for the room to be out of use while work is under way.
Installation
We do not publish a fixed duration. Scope, access, material and the number of pieces all affect it, so the schedule is confirmed for your project instead of quoted from a general figure.
Installation
We serve Central and Southwest Florida, and our published city and county list is a general guide rather than a guarantee. Confirm your exact address or ZIP with us through the estimate form or by phone at (813) 725-3550.
Service areas
The Visualizer is a conceptual tool. It gives you an impression of how a material family reads in your space, but colour, pattern, scale, finish and lighting in the render will differ from the installed result. It is not a substitute for viewing material in person or for professional measurement.
Visualizer
Yes. Our location is 2115 Yeats St., Lakeland, FL 33815, open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Call ahead at (813) 725-3550 so we can have the materials you are interested in ready.
